State Planning Board teams to hold review meet on Dec 5, 6

SHILLONG: The Working Groups constituted by the State Planning Board in August last, will convene review meetings on December 5 and 6 on the current status of various government departments.

In a release issued here on Tuesday, Meghalaya State Planning Board (MSPB) Working Group-1 chaired by SC Marak and Working Group-3 chaired by John F Kharshiing will review the plan, expenditure and progress of the PWD (Roads) and the Community and Rural Development departments.

It may be reminded that in August 2013, following a meeting of the State Planning Board, eight working groups had been constituted to enable the State Planning Board to conduct its meetings with the departments in an effective manner.

The Working Group-1 will hold its meeting at the official chamber of Chairman of MSPB, SC Marak, on December 6 at 11.30 am to review the PWD (Roads) while the Working Group-3 headed by Kharshiing, will meet at the Committee Room -II on December 5 at 11.30 am to review grants-in-aid to the three Autonomous District Councils in the State.

The Working Group-3 will continue its review work on December 6 from 2.30 pm to review the plan, expenditure and progress of all schemes related to rural development.
