SHILLONG: Goan team Salgaocar seem set to be docked a point by the All India Football Federation, according to recent media reports.

The I-League club were apparently guilty of fielding two players who were ineligible because their registration process with the AIFF had not been completed.

Mathew Foschini and Fulgancio Cardozo were used by the club against Bengaluru FC and Pune FC on November 22 and 26, respectively.

If the penalty is imposed, Bengaluru and Pune will be awarded 3-0 victories.

Bengaluru had, in any case, won their match, but Pune will gain two points as they had drawn the game against Salgaocar.

The Goans will therefore lose the one point they had secured in the draw.
