Mizoram CM Lalduhoma awarded honorary 7th Dan

Aizawl, June 14: The Mizoram Amateur Taekwondo Association, in collaboration with the World Pro Taekwondo Headquarters and the World Taekwondo Headquarters, Kukkiwon, has awarded Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma an Honorary 7th Dan (Black Belt) and a Certificate of Appreciation.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude, stating that this recognition was due to the dedicated efforts of the Mizoram Amateur Taekwondo Association, the remarkable achievements of Mizo youth in the sport, and their outstanding performances representing India.
He conveyed his appreciation and extended his best wishes for their continued success.The Taekwondo Association highlighted that this honor was given in recognition of the significant progress of Taekwondo in Mizoram, the strong support from the government, and the Chief Minister’s contributions to elevating the status of Indian Taekwondo. They also noted his commitment to the sport’s development.
Previously, this prestigious title had been awarded to the former Chief Minister, Pu Lal Thanhawla, who received the 1st Dan (Black Belt).The current award of the Belt to the Chief Minister marks the highest Dan ever awarded in India. Grand Master Prof. Hee Do Kim presented the Certificate and introduced the Belt. The presentation ceremony included Grand Master Prof. Hee Do Kim, 9th Dan, Grand Master Lee Jae Ku, International Master 8th Dan from South Korea, and Prof. Rualkhuma Colney, President of MATA, along with other officials.
This prestigious award not only celebrates Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma’s contributions but also underscores the rapid advancement and recognition of Taekwondo in Mizoram. (Agencies)
