1st Meghalaya tennis tournament ends

SHILLONG: The first state tennis tournament, organised by the Meghalaya Tennis Association, concluded on Saturday at the Shillong Club tennis courts.

The competition was held between December 5-7 and saw the participation of more than 40 players in four categories.

Results: Men’s singles – 1st Stardiness Kharsyntiew; 2nd Sanjeev Chetri

Men’s doubles – 1st Pankaj Kapoor and Stardiness Kharsyntiew; 2nd Vishal Amarnani and Sanjeev Chetri

Under-16 boys’ singles – 1st Duncan J Wahlang Tham; 2nd Silrik Ch Marak

Women’s singles – 1st Nisha Singh; 2nd Wansalan Makri
