CPI(M) central committee, politburo meeting from Dec 13

Agartala:  The CPI(M)’s strategy for next year’s Lok Sabha elections would be drawn up at the party’s politburo and Central Committee meeting to be held here from December 13,party sources said today. The three-day central committee meeting would begin here on Friday followed by the politburo meeting. After the three-day deliberations, top party leaders including Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, who is a politburo member, would address a public gathering here on December 15. Altogether 113 delegates were expected to attend the Central Committee meeting. Former West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and former minister Nirupam Sen were not likely to attend the meetings because of illness, the sources said. (PTI)
