SHILLONG: The Chief Electoral Officer Meghalaya in collaboration with the Meghalaya Athletics Assocation (MAA) will celebrate National Voters Day on January 25 in Shillong with a “Run for Democracy”.
The race, in three categories, will start from the State Central Library at 6:00am.
The categories are: above 15 years (men and women), above 50 years and the special category for boys and girls for those between 12 and 14 years.
Photocopies of birth certificates are required as proof of age for those wishing to take part in the above 50 years and below 15 years.
All participants will be given free t-shirts, lunch and lucky draw (20 prizes).
Registration can be done at the office of the Shillong Sports Association, Polo Grounds, from 2-4pm, or at the following locations:
