A female resident of Eastern West Khasi Hills lodged a complaint that on receiving an invitation from a company ‘PSA Group’ to join for investment, she invested Rs. 18,000, only to realise later that she had been cheated.
Theft
Mayadur Islam lodged a complaint that at around 4.30 am on July 11, his two co-workers stole his mobile phone and cash Rs. 95,000, from his workplace at JN Stadium, Polo, Shillong.
Khrawpyrkhat Paliar lodged a complaint that on May 20, 2024, unknown miscreant(s) stole various tower materials valued around Rs. 1,20,801 from a tower site at Rajaju village, WKH.
Assault
Medical Superintendent, Woodland Hospital, Jowai, lodged a complaint that on July 17 around 11 pm, one patient, viz. Chekuri Subba Rao alias Suresh (34), created nuisance and quarreled with the hospital staff on duty and other patients. Further, on July 18 around 10.15 am, Chekuri Subba Rao, in an inebriated condition, assaulted one of the medical officers of the hospital. As a result, the victim sustained minor injuries.
A woman lodged a complaint that on July 13 around 7.30 pm, unidentified miscreant(s) assaulted her brother at Masangpani area under Phulbari Police Station. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Phulbari CHC.
