School guardians complain against ‘illegal’ SMC

TURA, July 28: Guardians and well wishers of the Jana Priya Higher Secondary School, Bholarbitha in West Garo Hills have submitted a complaint to the DSEO in the district over the alleged illegal formation of the School Managing committee for the school.
In their complaint submitted earlier on July 24, the complainants claimed the constitution of the SMC by some vested interest persons without any public meeting or knowledge of the school principal and the guardians. The complainants further claimed that no notice was served to anyone in connection with the formation of the SMC.
Informing that a resolution of the illegally formed SMC has been submitted to the DSEO by the vested interest persons, the complainants urged the official not to approve the same but to constitute it by hoplding a general meeting at an appropriate time.
