SHILLONG: ANVC-B has decided to ask help from the public for maintaining its camp and cadres.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, ANVC-B leader, Rangdo Marak asserted that the Government cheated ANVC-B and now, the group will turn to the public with its grievances.
According to Marak, ANVC-B will seek help and support openly as cadres are anyway being arrested by State police and implicated on false cases even when the Chairman’s order to refrain from illegal activities was strictly abided by cadres.
“We feel it does not make any difference now if we are arrested or hunted, as we will not bow down to corrupt policies and police atrocities,” the statement mantioned, adding, “The Chairman has assured us peace when he signed the pact but where is that peace when our freedom to be at peace is violated and we feel we are now victims of a political conspiracy and easy target for police.”
“If we are not welcomed, we will return where we are safer,” the statement said even as it added, “If the Government wants to make an enemy out of us for going openly, we will not refrain.”
