Arson
On December 30 around 8 pm, unknown miscreants set fire to a stack of hay loaded in a truck (ML-10-7250) at Law-U-Sib, Shillong. As a result, the hay stack was partially gutted.
One dead
On December 30 around 10 pm, Dondor Nongrang (40) was found lying unconscious inside his Maruti car (ML-05-A-2876) at Umbir UCC Road (Ri Bhoi). He was shifted to CHC Umsning where the Medical Officer on duty declared him brought dead. Cadaver was sent to CH Nongpoh for post mortem.
Theft
Trin Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on December 27, workers of Sinolasibon Marbaniang illegally entered a land at Lawksaw-Lawshnong at Rambrai (WKH) and had removed timbers using two trucks (ML-06-4348 & ML-06-3418).
Robbery
Phasterwell Marbaniang lodged a complaint that on December 22, while he was proceeding from Umsohiong towards Rambrai (WKH) in his truck loaded with timbers unidentified miscreants looted his money. They also threatened him with dire consequences.
Injured
Chwami Passah lodged a complaint that on December 2 around 7.30 pm, one truck (AS-01-6394) dashed against his restaurant at Ialong NH-44 (WJH). As a result, the complainant and two others– Ioowanphika Lhyuid (24) and Neaitlang Lhyuid (30) sustained injuries and were shifted to a hospital at Ialong.
