3 held for theft at KSU office in Nongstoin

SHILLONG, Sep 12: Police have arrested three persons in connection with the theft at the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) office in New Nongstoin. The suspects, identified as Lamboklang Puwein, Khrawkupar Nongsiej, and Stonedingwell Marngar, were apprehended on Thursday.
According to reports, the three accused forcefully entered the KSU office and stole several electronic items.
The theft was discovered on Wednesday evening by KSU member Wanbhakupar L Nonglait, who noticed that the main door of the office was already open. Upon inspection, he found the door’s lock broken and items such as a television set, battery inverter, mobile phone, and set-top box missing.
Nonglait immediately lodged an FIR with Nongstoin police station. Following swift action, the police recovered the stolen items and arrested the three suspects. The accused have been remanded in judicial custody by a local court.
