Poor Aircel network connectivity

NONGPOH: Aggrieved over the pitiable attitude of the Aircel mobile Tower operators which is located in Mawlasnai, the Ri Bhoi Youth Development & Social organization (RBYDSO) Mawlasnai Unit served a two week deadline to the mobile operator for maintaining their service failing which, drastic action would be taken against them.
It has been alleged that the operators failed in discharging better service to the mobile users at Mawlasnai and Khyndewso areas in Ri Bhoi District.
Riskhem Lyngdoh, RBYDSO Mawlasnai Unit vice president while informing The Shillong Times, said that, the deadline has been issued after getting numerous complaints from the users of Aircel Network over the poor network coverage for the past two-three weeks. He also noted that many complaints were lodged to the concerned authority but the mobile operator failed to address the problems.
He also informed that, the unit members under his leadership went for inspection to the site where the Aircel tower was located at Mawlasnai and it was found that the tower did not function since last many weeks, so after the inspection the Organization decided to serve a two week deadline to the Aircel mobile operators for maintaining and for rendering the valuable network service to the public.
