A proposal in this regard will be tabled before the State Cabinet, which is meeting on Tuesday, for approval.
Informing this here on Monday, District Council Affairs (DCA) Minister HDR Lyngdoh said this extension was necessary since the state government wanted to hold to election to three ADCs in the last week of February.

It may be mentioned that the GHADC is yet to complete the delimitation exercise.
“We are planning to send a reply to the Governor after a through deliberation in the Cabinet,” he said.
