SHILLONG: Independent MDC Grace Mary Kharpuri,who joined HSPDP was officially accepted into the party fold at a function held at Pynursla on Tuesday.
Kharpuri said over phone from Pynursla that she was sure to retain the Nongshken seat as she worked for the people for the last five years.
Kharpuri said that she was attracted to HSPDP due to its principle to work for the indigenous people of the state.
The agenda of the party during the election will be to protect the land and the indigenous people of the State, she added.
