Meta’s event promotes online safety of teens

SHILLONG, Sep 25: Reiterating its commitment to the well-being of youths, Meta, in collaboration with 1M1B, organised the ‘Talking Digital Suraksha for Teens’ roundtable session in the state capital on Wednesday.
According to a statement, the session, which was aimed at parents and educators, focused on raising awareness about Meta’s approach to online safety and sharing best practices for safeguarding teens in the digital space.
It highlighted strategies to empower parents in managing their children’s smartphone and device usage, particularly on Meta’s platforms, while also collecting feedback on the usage of social media and emerging online trends.  During the session, Meta also showcased various tools and features that can help ensure a safer online experience for teens.
The roundtable was attended by a select group of educators and parents from 10-15 schools in Shillong to gain insights into digital safety initiatives and share their experiences with teens’ social media interactions.
