SHILLONG, Oct 13: The Congress has sent a reminder to Assembly Speaker Thomas A Sangma on the disqualification petitions filed against three former Congress MLAs who are now with the NPP.
“We sent a reminder to the Assembly Speaker just before the Puja vacation. We will meet in the coming days to decide whether to wait or file a case in the High Court of Meghalaya against the former MLAs,” a senior Congress leader said on Sunday.
Ronnie V Lyngdoh, the lone Congress MLA, had filed the disqualification petitions against Celestine Lyngdoh, Charles Marngar, and Gabriel Wahlang after they joined the ruling NPP.
