TURA, Oct 17: The A’chik Krima Council has sought the immediate repair of the road from Garobadha to Rajabala in West Garo Hills.
In its appeal to the Executive Engineer of PWD, Roads and Bridges, in Tura, the organisation said that the road which is already in a dilapidated condition has been made worse by the recent monsoon and floods in Garo Hills. It added that the poor condition of the road was making travel difficult for the people as it has developed deep potholes, cracks and surface wear, especially for those travelling in light vehicles.
The organisation sought that the road be repaired with a monsoon resilient design.
