Rs 4 lakh stolen from Keating Road residence

SHILLONG, Oct 18: Unknown miscreants stole Rs 4 lakh in cash from the residence of one Anju RA Naheed at Keating Road on Friday afternoon.
According to the FIR filed at Sadar Police Station, Naheed said that the theft occurred between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm while she was not at home.
Upon her return at around 2:10 pm, she discovered that her almirah had been opened and Rs 4 lakh in cash had been stolen.
She said an additional Rs 1,500, which was kept in her handbag, was also missing.
Meanwhile, the police have informed that a case has been registered and investigation is under way.
