Body recovered

On January 15 around 11:30 am, the body of one mentally unstable person Ashoke Lyngdoh (55) was found floating at Wards Lake, Shillong. Necessary formalities were observed and the cadaver was sent to Civil Hospital Shillong for Postmortem.

Rape

A woman lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on January 12 at about 6 pm, two persons, Md. Sahidur Islam and Md. Tahir Hussain kidnapped her fifteen-year-old daughter from Paham village (WGH) to East Patharkata, where they raped her.

Theft

On January 12 at about 4:30 pm, unknown miscreants stole a music system from one Maruti car (ML-05B-9328) belonging to JM Marboh, which was parked at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.

Molestation

Daniel DL Marbaniang lodged a complaint at Sohra PS that on the evening of January 11, two persons, Leo Dkhar and Dai Malngiang, molested and abused his daughter in a picnic spot at Sohra (EKH).

Misappropriation

PS Lyngdoh, Mawiong lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that one Bicky Paul who was working as a Manager in his Restaurant at Jowai (WJH) since January 1, 2013, had misappropriated Rs. 1,50,000 and absconded.
