BSF celebrates Diwali with enthusiasm at Mawpat campus

SHILLONG, Oct 27: BSF celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm by organising a grand Diwali Mela at the Mawpat campus of the force. The event was inaugurated by BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) president of Frontier HQ Meghalaya, Simran Kaur Dhillon, who welcomed all participants to an evening filled with festivities and celebration.
BSF personnel and their families joined in with zeal, participating in various games, enjoying food stalls and watching cultural programmes showcasing traditional performances. The Mela was designed to bring together the “Seema Praharies,” their families and children for memorable enjoyment during the festive season.
Adding to the festive spirit, the Mela featured an array of ethnic food stalls, games and a variety of entertainment activities. The highlight of the evening was the performances by the BSF Jazz and Brass Bands, whose music captivated the audience. Additionally, the ever-popular tug-of-war event was a crowd favourite, creating a lively atmosphere as everyone cheered on the participants.
In a statement, the BSF has extended its heartfelt Diwali wishes to everyone.
