Shillong, Nov 14 : The Head of the Education Department of the NEHU NEHU, Prof Sherwin May Sungoh has decided not to accept the appointment as Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university Shillong Campus.
Prof Sungoh made the announcement while addressing the agitating students and teachers outside the premises of the Academic building on Thursday.
She further said that her decision to accept any such appointment will depend on the decision of the stakeholders who are undergoing the agitation.
Prof Sungoh hoped that the university would regain its past glory as a premier institute.
Earlier, NEHUTA had appealed to Prof Sungoh not to accept the appointment.
