Workshop
The National Green Tribunal, in collaboration with the Department of Forest and Environment, will organise an advocacy workshop on environmental matters on January 23 at Yojana Bhawan auditorium, Main Secretariat, from 3 pm to 5 pm. Justice Swatanter Kumar, Chairperson, National Green Tribunal will grace the occasion.
Republic Day
In connection with the Republic Day celebrations, Raj Bhavan, Shillong, will be kept open for the general public on January 25 and 26 from 4.30 pm to 7 pm.
Gratuitous relief
The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills, has released the payment of Gratuitous Relief to those affected victims whose houses were damaged by cyclonic storm and landslides which occurred during the year 2013 under Mylliem C&RD Block.
Condolence
The Central Puja Committee, Shillong, has condoled the death of Kaushik Ranjan Bhattacharjee, ex-headman of RR Colony, who breathed his last on January 16.
