SHILLONG: The ANVC-B has accused the Tura police of implanting IEDs and arms against the militant outfit on the outskirts of Tura where four ANVC-B cadres were killed in an encounter with the police.

ANVC-B Chairman Rimpu Marak said, “We are not an armed organization and those IEDs and arms were planted against us.”

When asked why the four slain cadres were not identified by the outfit, he stated that the outfit had to leave the camp due to the prevailing law and order situation and even the photographs of the four persons killed were not provided to the outfit.

Stating that he does not issue any forms to his cadres, he said that he could communicate as who were killed in the encounter.

“I brought my cadres to the main streams not to be killed like this,” he said.
