Miners’ association content with challan norms

SHILLONG: The Jaintia Coal Miners and Dealers Association has expressed their happiness with the notification and acceptance of the Government to allow the mineral transport challan for coal laden trucks to carry load of 19 MT against vehicles of 3 axle 2 tyres on front axle and 8 tyres on rear axle.
JCDMA secretary Pura Bareh stated that initiative would pave way for the coal dealers to avail coal carrying trucks as per capability and requirement.
The JCMDA has also appealed Mineral Transport Coal Challan Dealers to procure and issue coal challan as per new notification of 19 MT.
