Shillong, Dec 19: Thangskai Tigers SC emerged victorious in the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s (EJHDFA) Super Division 2024, clinching the prestigious 4th Kyrmen Shylla Contribution Trophy with a narrow 1-0 win over Dhana CSC in the final held at Khliehriat on Thursday.
The decisive moment came in the 69th minute when Solmon Sympli found the back of the net, securing the title for the Tigers. Having topped the tournament’s round-robin stage, Thangskai Tigers lived up to their billing as favorites, capping their dominant campaign with a well-deserved triumph.
Along with the trophy, the team received Rs 1 lakh in prize money. In addition to the team accolades, individual awards were presented to recognize exceptional performances throughout the tournament.
