Breast Feeding Week
World Breast Feeding Week is being celebrated in Military Hospital here. To mark the occasion a lecture was delivered by a Pediatrician of the hospital highlighting on basic child care and benefits of prolonged breast feeding.

Water Supply
The Executive Engineer (PHE), Greater Shillong Water Supply Division No. 1 has informed that the permanent restoration works for strengthening of both 300 mm dia CI gravity feeder main pipelines at Wahrisa under Phase II of GSWSS conveying water supply to Zone-III (Laitumkhrah, Nongrimbah, Upper and Lower New Colony area etc.), Zone-V (Upper Nongthymmai, Lawjynriew, Pohkseh, Rynjah, Nongshilliang, Nongrim Hills areas etc.) and part of Lower Malki areas was completed on July 27.
