Manager of city fuel station absconds with Rs 30L; accomplice arrested in Bihar

SHILLONG, Dec 26: Meghalaya Police, in collaboration with Bihar Police, has arrested one of the suspects involved in embezzling Rs 30 lakh from a petrol pump in Shillong. The accused, Ram Slok Yadav, a native of Bihar, was apprehended from Bidupur in Vaishali district on Wednesday night.
The incident came to light when it was discovered that Yadav, along with Raghuveer Singh, the manager of the petrol pump, had absconded with the substantial amount on December 15. Acting swiftly, the state police initiated a thorough investigation and sought assistance from their counterparts in Bihar.
According to police reports, teams from both states conducted raids at multiple locations across Bihar before locating and arresting Yadav. Efforts are now under way to transfer him to Shillong after obtaining a transit remand from the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s (CJM) court in Hajipur, Bihar.
Meanwhile, the second accused, Raghuveer Singh, remains at large. Authorities have intensified efforts to locate and arrest him.
