SHILLONG, Jan 13: In a bid to provide hands-on learning experiences and exposure to cutting-edge scientific research, four batches of students and teachers will embark on a visit to renowned science hubs in Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru from January 6 to 28, 2025, as part of the ‘Science Exposure Trip 2025’ launched by State Council of Science, Technology, and Environment (SCSTE) Meghalaya, aimed at inspiring students and teachers to explore the world of science and innovation.
The participants will visit iconic institutions such as Science City in Kolkata, IIT and Birla Planetarium in Chennai, and the Science Centre in Bengaluru, a statement issued here informed. They will also explore technology applications in food processing at an ice cream industry in Chennai.
The batches include Batch 1: 6th January 2025 (36 participants), Batch 2: 13th January 2025 (37 participants), Batch 3: 15th January 2025 (44 participants) and Batch 4: 28th January 2025 (29 participants).
This initiative is part of SCSTE’s efforts to foster a culture of innovation and scientific temperament among the youth, while empowering educators to bring experiential learning into classrooms.
