Businessman kidnapped in Assam

Guwahati: A businessman was allegedly kidnapped by suspected NDFB(S) militants in Assam’s Chirang district, police said on Wednesday.

A group of four militants allegedly kidnapped the businessman from Dukhungaon under the Runikhata Police Station of the district last night, they said.

The abducted businessman, identified as Anup Das, a resident of Kasikotra under the Sidli Police Station, they said, adding that a search operation has been launched to trace him and nab the abductors. (PTI)
