NONGPOH, Jan 28: The Ri-Bhoi District Magistrate has imposed orders under Section 163 of the BNSS, 2023, prohibiting landowners from obstructing the ongoing construction of the Shillong Western Bypass. The order was issued after a report from NHIDCL that landowners were not allowing execution of the work at Nongkyndong village in the district.
Stating that compensation has been disbursed to the respective landowners, the order said any individual found in violation of the order will be liable for legal action.
