SHILLONG: In an exposure tournament for state academies, City Cricket Coaching Centre (CCCC), Guwahati, defeated Shillong Cricket Academy (SCA) by 35 runs in a match hosted by the Shillong Cricket Association at the Cricket Ground, Polo.

SCA won the toss and chose to bowl first. CCCC scored 89 runs in their first 15 overs, but the Shillong team then reduced the visitors’ run rate by taking some quick wickets.

In the end, CCCC made 164/8 in 30 overs, with Ivan scoring 43 and Kamala 41.

Mukesh Ray claimed the best figures of 3-30.

SCA got off to a steady start in the chase, with Ibitlang Thabah and Rayner Lyngdoh making 39 in nine overs.

SCA, however, lost wickets at regular intervals from then on and Ram Chauhan’s 44 ended up as the top score.

The SCA team will now tour Guwahati next wekk on a return tour.
