RESUBELPARA, Feb 10: Members of the Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) in North Garo Hills (NGH) district on Monday welcomed the newly elected president of the youth wing, Timjim Momin, with a bike rally that started from Damra in Assam before culminating at Mendipathar.
Timjim was appointed as the MPYC president after winning the election early this month before visiting the top leadership of the Indian National Congress in New Delhi last week, following the election result. Timjim earlier contested the 2023 Assembly elections from Mendipathar where he stood a credible second to three time-winner, Marthon J Sangma.
Following the rally, a meeting was held to welcome him, where Momin promised to work on developing the party at the grassroots level.
