TURA, Feb 10: The All Meghalaya Minority Students Union (AMMSU) on Monday sought clarification from the Director of Educational Research and Training in Shillong, over the pass marks for SC/ST/OBC/OST and Persons with Disabilities candidates in the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET).
The union referred to an advertisement dated January 29 this year which stated that the pass marks would be 68 out of 150, but 90 out of 150 for the general category. Pointing out that the pass marks for PWDs should be less than SC/ST/OBS/OST categories, it urged that a more detailed clarification be issued by the department.
“Aspiring candidates need to have detailed information regarding the qualification criteria. Therefore, kindly provide the same for their benefit,” the union said.
