People engage in cleaning and sanitising activities in NESAC and surrounding areas of Umiam during the observance of the Swachhta Pakhwada 2025. The programme will culminate on Friday. Various activities such as plogging run, Umiam market cleaning, repair and cleaning of a toilet complex at Umiam market, awareness campaign on Swachhta in nearby schools, cleaning the banks of Umiam Lake near the lay-bye, besides competitions, were held as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada.
