Adequate security in place for polls: DGP

SHILLONG, Feb 13: Meghalaya police is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a peaceful election to the KHADC and JHADC scheduled for February 21.
DGP Idashisha Nongrang on Thursday told The Shillong Times that additional deployment of police has been made for the elections and usual security arrangements have been put in place to ensure that elections are conducted peacefully.
As of now, no law and order problems have been reported from any part of the state during the electioneering process, the DGP added.
