City college wins skill devp leadership award in Mumbai

SHILLONG, Feb 19: Synod College in Shillong has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Skill Development Leadership Award’ at the 33rd edition of the World HRD Congress 2025. The award ceremony took place on February 17, at Taj Land’s End, Mumbai.
The Principal-in-charge, Dr M Rani, received the award on behalf of the college.
The ‘Skill Development Leadership Award’ is the result of a rigorous research process that identifies institutions demonstrating exceptional contributions in skill development and tracks their achievements.
The final selection is reviewed by a jury of senior professionals from around the world, based on key parameters such as educational quality and standards, leadership in skill development, outreach programs, future orientation, and social impact.
The A+ NAAC-accredited college was also recently honoured by the Association of Indian College Principals (AICP) at the 27th International Conference held in Bali, Indonesia, on February 7-8, 2025.
