NIFT inaugurates fashion spectrum

SHILLONG, March 8: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) inaugurated its flagship event, Fashion Spectrum 2025 at its permanent campus in Umsawli, on Friday.
The inaugural function was graced by Major General (RTD) Rajesh Kumar Jha Director (Personel) and Elbin Deepika Doley, GM(HR) CSR, of NEEPCO.
Major General Kumar cheered upon the creativity of the students and encouraged them to dream big and realize their dreams through sheer hard work and dedication.
Founder Managing Director Impulse Social Enterprises Brand Impulse Empower Hasina Kharbhih encouraged the students to pursue their passions and never give up on their dreams. “Never be afraid to take risks, to experiment, and to push boundaries. It is through these efforts that you will truly shine and make a difference,” she said.
Campus Director Shankar Kumar Jha while encouraging the students to seize the opportunities presented by Fashion Spectrum 2025, said ‘This event is not just a celebration of fashion and creativity, but also a platform for you to showcase your talents, to learn from each other, and to grow as individuals.”
Events lined up for the two-day event are a marathon, volleyball, tug of war, debate, creative writing, eco art competition, pictionary, slam poetry, face painting, photography competition, carom board, chess, dancing and singing competitions, Mr and Ms Spectrum, and so on.
The first day of Spectrum 2025 saw enthusiastic participation from students of various educational institutions like NEIGRIHMS, NEIAH, MLCU, Meghalaya Institute of Technology (MIT), NLU (National Law University) and others.
