State to host 7th Act East Business Show

SHILLONG, March 17: The state is all set to host the three-day 7th Act East Business Show at the State Convention Centre from March 25-27.
Organised by the state government in collaboration with the Indian Chamber of Commerce, the flagship event aims to foster stronger economic and trade relations between nations worldwide.
Around 12 countries including the Philippines, Germany, Indonesia, Cambodia, UAE, Japan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal have confirmed their participation in the economic event.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will address the inaugural function where senior Indian government officials and high-ranking diplomats will be present.
The event will feature Meghalaya as an ideal investment destination.
The event will focus on three sessions—Empowering Growth through Technology & Innovation in Meghalaya.
North East India Travel, Tourism & Hospitality will spotlight North-East India’s tourism potential, emphasizing digital innovation, sustainable tourism, and public-private partnerships to promote eco-tourism, adventure tourism, and medical tourism.
The event will be a significant step forward in the economic development of the state by facilitating investment opportunities and business collaborations.
