NEIAH begins ‘Yogotsav’ session

SHILLONG, March 22: The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy (NEIAH), Shillong, in collaboration with Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, began the ‘Yogotsav 91-day Countdown programme for International Day of Yoga-2025’, on Saturday.
The institute organized a yoga session for one hour at the NEIAH Campus, Mawdiangdiang, where more than 300 participants, including students of the institute, faculty, staff, patients and guests from CBI Shillong, NEIGRIHMS, took part.
A Yoga demonstration was also given to participants from Diengiong and nearby villages.
The NSS Unit, NEIAH on Thursday, visited Nongriat village, in East Khasi Hills where the faculty and students conducted an awareness programme demonstrating Yoga to the community and visitors.
