Office-bearers
The Meghalaya Forest Service Officers Association (MeFoSOA), in its general meeting held recently, appointed new office bearers for the year 2025-26. The newly appointed office-bearers include Dr. George H Chyrmang (president), Hambert G Momin, (vice-president), Bakerbha Japang (general secretary) Sumarlang Mawlong (secretary) and Chareki Najiar (treasurer). On the other hand, the four executive members of the association include Bijoy Lyngdoh, Arpiyush Sangma, Baggio Ch. Momin and Savior J Sangma.
Corrigendum
In the news item that appeared in the March 24, 2025, edition of The Shillong Times under the heading ‘Centre for aquatic biodiversity inaugurated in Khliehshnong’, the name of the Fisheries department director should be read as Aitinolin L Mawlong. The inadvertent error is regretted.
