TURA, April 1: The All Meghalaya Minority Students’ Union (AMMSU) has lodged a complaint, alleging that PDS wholesalers failed to distribute rice for March 2025 across the entire plain belt from Tikrikilla to Hallidayganj.
In a complaint to the SDO of Dadenggre, union president, Nur Islam, stated that despite the significance of the month due to Eid, wholesalers have not provided the essential rice supply. “Residents depend on PDS rice to sustain themselves but inexplicably, they have not been provided rice for the month of March. This has led to many hardships for residents. In light of the above, appropriate action needs to be taken to ensure deprived families are given their due,” said Islam.
