SHILLONG, April 2: AICC Joint Secretary in charge of Meghalaya, Mathew Antony, has dismissed any speculation over MPCC president Vincent H Pala’s ouster, clarifying that there is no such demand within the party.
“We never discussed a change in leadership. We focused on reviewing our performance in the KHADC and JHADC elections,” Antony told The Shillong Times on Wednesday.
Stating that discussions largely centred on concerns created by the NPP alliance, Antony said the Congress has decided not to associate with the NPP.
It may be noted that the State Congress had aligned with the NPP during the tenure of the previous Executive Committee of the KHADC.
