Nasreen Nongrum has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by Sikkim Professional University for her thesis titled ‘A Critical Study of Personality Adjustment and Self Concept of Physically Challenged and Normal Children in Education System’, which she completed under the supervision of Prof. Sangita Gupta. She is the former principal of Umshyrpi College, Laban, daughter of (L) Abdul Satter and Meher Nongrum, and a resident of Madan Laban, Shillong.
