Khliehtyrshi, April 11: Mowkaiaw C.Y.C emerged victorious with a convincing 29-run win over Phramer C.C in the 17th match of the District Cricket League 2025, organised by the West Jaiñtia Hills District Cricket Association (WJHDCA). The match was held today at the Mini Stadium in Khliehtyrshi.
After losing the toss, Mowkaiaw C.Y.C were put in to bat and posted a total of 130 runs before being bowled out in 21.3 overs, well within the 35-over limit. Despite the modest total, their bowlers stepped up to the task.
Phramer C.C, in their chase, faltered under pressure and were bundled out for 101 runs in 28 overs, falling short by 29 runs.
The star of the match was undoubtedly Kitboklang Lyngdoh, whose brilliant five-wicket haul dismantled the Phramer batting line-up and earned him the well-deserved Man of the Match award.
