SHILLONG: The All Meghalaya Primary School Teachers’ Association has resolved to fight for the cause of the 246 Government LP school teachers who are set to lose their jobs in the wake of the education scam.

AMPSTA general secretary FC Shullai on Wednesday informed that the Association held a meeting and decided to extend full support to the teachers, even resolving to launch agitation to ensure that the teachers do not lose their jobs.

Shullai also informed that MPSTA would seek details from the High level Scrutiny Committee on the procedure adopted to classify the 246 teachers as ‘tainted’.

The Association would soon meet the affected teachers and fix the date for agitation.
