Shillong: In yet another significant step towards speedy disposal of pending cases, the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, Madan B Lokur, has allowed the Shillong Bench of the High Court to dispose of a very urgent case vide video conferencing facility.

The case disposed off via video conferencing on Thursday relates to a case between Dr Malavika Desai versus the Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management (RGIIM), Shillong and others.

On the prayer of both parties, the matter was taken up in the Principal Seat of the High Court wherein Justice IA Ansari heard the matter in Guwahati while the parties argued the matter from Shillong.

The matter was disposed of within ten minutes to the satisfaction of all the parties concerned.
