SHILLONG: Victoria defeated Eleven Star by seven wickets, while The Occult managed a two-wicket win over Paltan Bazar in the SCA Second Division Cricket League at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Sunday.
Victoria won the toss and elected to field first. Eleven Star were all out for 88 runs in 19.3 overs with Swaroop taking 3/14, while Harindar Yadav scored 23 runs. In reply, Victoria reached the target in 14.2 overs for the loss of three wickets. Navin top-scored with 29 runs.
In the second match, The Occult won the toss and put Paltan Bazar into bat. They were dismissed after scoring only 73 runs in 16.2 overs. Sanjay took 4/19. In reply, Occult made heavy weather of the chase, scoring 74/8 in 16.5 overs. Shubham made 22 runs, while Ajit Roy took 4/20.
