Govt invites tenders for Shillong-Umroi road project

SHILLONG, May 9: The Meghalaya government has invited tenders for the construction of Phase-II of the road connecting Shillong to Umroi Airport.
The 5.219-km stretch will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 5.6 crore. The scope of work includes the construction of a retaining wall and a lined drainage system.
The project is scheduled to be completed within 24 months from the date of issuance of the final work order.
