SHILLONG: The All Garo Hills State Eligibility Test Passed Association has submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma demanding appointment for the posts of assistant teachers in Government LP Schools in 2008 in the wake of the Education scam.
The SET passed members of the Association said that they were not included when the High Level Scrutiny Committee segregated the ‘tainted and non-tainted candidates’ after the order of the High Court following the Education scam.
According to the top functionaries of the Association, the candidates, who are part of the Association were not included for re-examination, scrutiny and review of the allotment of their marks and score sheets by the High Level Scrutiny Committee and sought the intervention of the Chief Minister in this regard.
The Association wanted the Government to appoint eligible candidates after the scrutiny of their marks by the High Level Committee.
The Association further said that they will be compelled to approach the Court if the Government does not address their grievances.
