NPCC finalises candidate for LS seat in Nagaland

Kohima: The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) on Friday approved the candidature of former minister KV Pusa for the Lok Sabha election in the state.

After deliberation on the recommendation of the NPCC Search Committee for Lok Sabha, the NPCC Election Committee approved the candidature of KV Pusa for the lone Lok Sabha seat, party president S I Jamir told reporters here after a close door meeting.

He said that Pusa’s candidature was faxed to AICC office in Delhi for the final approval of the party high command.

The Search Committee, he said, had also received applications from Dr Roland Lotha, Chubatangit Jamir, P Longang Konyak and Sulanthung H Lotha seeking Congress ticket. (PTI)
